amritsari chole recipe Kadai Chole, punjabi Chole recipe, Restaurant style Chole recipe, kabuli chana masala, Ingredients of Kadai Chole White Grain - 1 cup (200 gms) Tomato - 2 (150 gms) Green Coriander - 2 to 3 tbsp (finely chopped) Carom Seeds - ¼ tsp Cumin Seeds - ¼ tsp Green chilli - 5 (finely and vertically chopped) Ginger julienne - ½ inch Red Chilli Powder - ½ tsp Baking Soda - ⅛ tsp Coriander Powder - 1 tsp Mango Powder - ¼ tsp Garam Masala - ¼ tsp Salt - 1 tsp How to make Kadai Chole 1- Take 200 gms of white grain, wash it and soak it overnight. 2- Add the soaked white grains in the pressure cooker. 3- Add ½ cup of water and ½ teaspoon of salt to it. 4- Add ¼ tsp of baking soda to them and mix all the ingredients properly. 5- Add 1 tea bag to it for enhancing its colour and taste. 6- Close lid of the cooker and let it boil for till the first whistle blows. 7- Switch off the flame after the first whistle blows. 8- Wait until all the pressure releases from the cooker. 9- Open the lid after the pressure was released. 10- Mash the chickpeas to check, they have boiled properly. 11- Remove the tea bag from it and drain chickpeas using a strainer to remove extra water. 12- Preheat a pan to cook Kadai Chole. Add 2 tablespoons of clarified butter in it. 13- Turn the flame to low and add 1/4 teaspoon of Cumin Seeds, 1/4 teaspoon of carom seeds in it. 14- Switch off the flame and add 2 finely chopped Green Chillies. 15- Add 2 to 3 vertically chopped green chillies along, 1/2 inch ginger julienne and saute them. 16- Add the boiled chickpeas in it along with 1/2 teaspoon of salt in it. 17- Add 1/2 teaspoon of red chilli powder, 1 teaspoon of Coriander powder, 1/4 teaspoon of Garam Masala, 1/4 teaspoon of mango powder, the chopped tomatoes and some finely chopped green coriander in it. 18- Mix all the ingredients properly. The Kadai chole has cooked and are ready to be served. Serving: 1- You can serve them with Poori, Paratha or eat them individually.
