A curry in India means a dish which has gravy. Make a delicious Indian crab curry using spices and coconut milk.
INGREDIENTS:
Dry red chillies 3 nos
Garlic 4 nos
Ginger 1 piece
Cumin seeds ½ tsp
Coriander seeds ½ tsp
Green chillies 2 nos
Tamarind 3-5 gms
Coconut(pieces) 1 cup
Salt To taste
Oil 4 tbs
Onions ½ cup
Tomatoes 2 nos
Green chillies
Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
Crabs 250 gms
Coconut milk 1 cup
Coriander leaves 1 tbs
METHOD:
1. Take a mixie jar and add dry red chillies, garlic, ginger, cumin seeds, coriander seeds, green chillies, tamarind, coconut, little salt and blend into smooth paste by adding water.
2. Heat oil in a pan and add onions, little salt and saute it, later add tomatoes, green chillies, turmeric powder and saute it.
3. Add crabs and mix it, place lid and cook for 5 mins.
4. Remove lid, add smooth paste, little water and cook for 10 min with lid on it.
5. To it add coconut milk, little water, coriander leaves and mix nicely.
6. Check for seasoning and switch off flame.
7. Now crab curry is ready to serve.
