Chinese Steamed Eggs
I love eating steam eggs over rice for an easy meal!
Ingredients:
3 large eggs
Water
A pinch of salt or your preferred seasoning
A drizzle of sesame oil
A dash of soy sauce
Instructions:
Begin by cracking 3 eggs into a bowl.
For the ideal texture, add water in a 2:1 ratio to the eggs.
Season with a pinch of salt or your chosen seasoning. In my case, I chose dasida.
Whisk the mixture.
Strain the egg mixture.
Cover the bowl of eggs with either plastic wrap or aluminum foil. I gently puncture the plastic wrap to allow steam to escape.
Take out a pan. Prepare a steamer rack and position the bowl of seasoned eggs on it. Add water to the pan.
Steam the mixture over medium-low heat for approximately 10 minutes.
After ten minutes, turn off the heat and let the egg mixture rest for 3-6 minutes. ,
Drizzle a bit of sesame oil and soy sauce onto the steamed eggs.
Create delicate lines across the surface of the steamed eggs.
Enjoy over a bowl of rice
