@UnfriendlyHero4 years agoLoving the channel! I just purchased a 2021 2500hd AT4 6.6 diesel and no issues with the wandering but steering is a little funky compared to my last truck. (2019 1500 AT4) I was also going to go big with a 12 inch but the BDS 6.5 is calling my name lol ...3

@ericbuchta97654 years agoGood video content and your truck looks sick!!! I love my 2021 is same as yours. They have great power and bigger bed bigger cab all around way cooler. I got the amp steps. Did you know the mirrors have spot lights, I just found that last night. Been wanting to do a video on my truck. I will probably do one when I tow the 12,000 lb winnebago I sold. ...

@dave-cd7jd4 years agothe drifting and slack in steering is ball joints and tie rod end issues. my 18 did the same thing, when i swapped my 7 inch rc for my 8 inch bds, i had one ball joint totally shot and the other 3 were wearing out

@duanescarpad28313 years agoHey man try putting a steering stabilizer shock on it helped mine out a lot they are not a lot of money they do help with wandering
@
@huh_whoknew47143 years agoAnd other than Shocks and small items the Rough Country is legit. Have installed all of them and there really isn't much difference in main components. We actually preferred to install a RC truck lift over the others. Fitment was always right and if we ever needed parts they were almost always in-stock. And gave our shop zero grief getting replacement parts or when we placed a stock order it was there. Now their Jeep stuff....leaves a lot to be desired. I think the majority of RC hate is just fan boy stuff. I actually prefer their Upper Control arms over the competition being they have Clevite Frame bushings and a Moog Ball Joint which you can source just about anywhere. ...2
@
@ronfeinberg4 years agoI have a '20 Denali dually; it doesn't wander but there is an uneasy mechanical play in the steering, very different from my '18 Denali dually which had a solid steering feel.
@
@alanhernandez32384 years agoHonestly, the previous owner had a valid reason to go with the rc lift the truck has. I had the rc 7in on my 1500 and I placed an order for bds 8in coilovers lift and it was so tiring that they couldn't get my order in or they kept having issues and I gave up on bds after about 5 months from when I placed it. I actually upgraded my suspension to the 7.5in rc vertex with a half in spacer on the front and honestly I can't complain about the ride quality with that vertex setup and I love how it looks. Still can't wait to see how your truck will look with your future setup! ...1

@
@edgargonzalez39234 years agoCheck idler and pitment arm some are defected from factory and check the alightment camber should be about 5.0 degrees and caster should have a split of at least 0.5 degrees with the passanger side higher than driver side to correct the slight drift to compensate for the lift ...

@dannymai19704 years agoI just bought 2021 Denali 2500 HD. Not even 2k miles and got problem. Its loss power out of no where while I were driving. Took to the dealership next day and it's took a good 5 seconds to start. Yes I meant 5 seconds before the truck finally started. Been 2 weeks now they still couldn't figure out what is wrong with it. But I don't have that problem that you mentioned it. It's run very smooth. ...

@gerardomontoya4333 years agoI had that problem on my 2020 ltz Duramax and the dealership bought al new front steering parts and fix the problem
@
@huh_whoknew47143 years agoI'd ask the alignment shop to add a tad more Positive Caster than spec just a little more than what the Machine claims is in spec.. High speed wondering or looseness is normally a result of negative caster

@
@danh37184 years agoWandering solution wheels not centered on studs maybe. Loosen and retorque lug nuts. Drive 50-100 miles and check if still tight.
@
@moneydog63174 years agoJust Word of Wisdom my 3500 2020 Duramax does the same thing there is a lot of play and shimmying in the steering when you're going down the road especially a bumpy road I took it to the dealership and they said it's caused by electronic steering if it was hydraulic it what does orb the shimian for the fact there's pressure on it at all times maybe a stabilizer shock would help. There is also a lot of electronic problems with my truck as well exedra especially the air intake does not line up as well as the fender Wells all have a hole in them for road debris to get up inside the fenders a lot of the stuff is poor ass design as soon as you pay for it they do not give a s*** would not buy one ever again. ...1

You never know where you are at on the road. I wander if I have them put more caster on the steering if that would work. ...1
@
@hectormeza9913 years agoBecause all trucks are made cheap now. And sell for the price of a house. Well not in California🤣 cheap parts for a not cheap truck! That’ll last 3 years. That’s what I get out of mines. Just got the 2020 duramax and I don’t expect to be problem free for over 3 years. I already have an alignment issue and has very minimal miles. My 2015 was ok for 2 years but the condenser failed and always seemed to have alignment issues. By the time you realize it the insides are starting to wear and make a humming sound. It’s total bs for the prices they ask 50k to 80k needles to say dealership appt Saturday morning 🤦♂️ ...
