@pierremarcoux8864 weeks agoHi, did you try to braze silicon bronze rod with this machine?. Thanks 1

@JB-NZ3 years agoGood stuff. In theory, its 35Amps per mm for Stainless, and 40Amps per mm for Mild steel. So your 1/8" stainless should be about 110 Amps, and your 1/16" should be about 55 Amps - going off what I just learnt in my TIG course :) ...4

@bigmike70733 years agoA few ss tips- use a ss wire brush on the metal (only use this brush on ss, stanless creates a protactive oxide which makes it harder to weld). Clean w acetone (lifts off contaminates, but leaves a hydrocarbon film), clean the acitone film w rubbing alcohol. Get that tungstin closer (this will help focus the heat), turn up post-flown and hold the torch over the weld and filler metal until postflow is compleat. I was welding simalar coupons last night at 40-45 amps and not flooring the petal. either. Hope this helps. ...1

@dirtywelder4833 years agoLooks like ya havin fun mate..the only mistake i can see is that you are moving to slow especially with stainless it should take about 2-3sec for your puddle and then go hard and fast..if ya make a mistake stop dont keep running back and forth over the weld..also the miller welders pocket app is a great tool to have it will give you all the relevant settings you need for whatever metal and process you choose..other than that all good..remember have fun and make every weld better than the last one...have a great day from a dirty welding australian...lol ...2

@AerialLensVideo4 months agoHey, how is this machine holding up for you since it's been a couple years, assuming you now have plenty of time using it? Any issues at all with controls or circuitry or HF start, or AC/DC operation? I'm asking because it looks like YW has discontinued this machine. I must say I DO have this machine but have not used it more than a few hours on steel, and mostly stick at that. I need to get in a lot more practice with TIG, and have never even tried the AC side on Aluminum. Only thing I have found a bit weird is on stick, where they definitely advertised "hot start" - I do not think that works at all if it is present (can't find any sort of mention in the guide or control for it anyway). Not a show stopper. THANKS for all your videos! I really like your easy going and very clear style. ...1

@brandoncurry93873 years agoSo if you turn up the machine to 200 amps, can you control the amount of heat you put into the piece with the pedal? Or is it always at 200? And don’t feel bad about sticking your tungsten, I’ve been doing this for 6 years and I still do it! Lol 🤣 ...1

@marknorton24293 years agoYou're having problems because your filler wire is too big. Use 3/32 NOT 1/8! 2
