Pizza is one of the popular dishes across the globe .Kids love pizza. One such recipe tried in a healthier manner using whole wheat flour. This recipe has everything made from scratch! I bet you cannot find any different than the store bought ones our kids are fond of!! Healthy baking Healthy living!! Dough makes 1 medium & 1 small pizza Serves 2 to 3 INGREDIENTS:(Medium Pizza) For the dough: baked at 450F for 5 mins ——————————————————————————— 2 cups & 2 tbsp Whole Wheat flour 1 pack Yeast (preferably active dry /instant) 1 cup Water(1/4 cup-Yeast prep/ 3/4 cup - dough prep) 1 tsp Sugar 1 tsp Salt 1 tbsp extra virgin Olive Oil Pizza Sauce: ———————————————————————————1/2 kg Tomato puréed 1 tsp Oil 1 tbsp Garlic 1/2 onion(optional) 1/2 tsp Oregano 1/4 tsp Basil leaves 2 tbsp Tomato Sauce Salt needed Toppings used: ——————————————————————————— 1/2 Onion 300 gms Chicken breast(cooked with 1/2 tsp each of pepper,salt and Oregano) Pineapple chunks Jalapeno slices Part Skim Mozzarella Cheese-1/4 cup Baking Time: ------------------------------------------------------------------------------ Bake the pizza with toppings for 10 to 15 mins on 450F Note: + Once the flour is kneaded well rest aside for 30 mins for it to rise + Make the crust little thicker / thinner as preferred + U can use any type of Italian herbs on the pizza sauce, while Oregano gives the authentic taste + Small dough makes another small pizza which can be stored and used. ( Kept in normal refrigerator use within 1-2 days / Freeze in a Ziploc upto 3 months- thaw completely to room temperature before using) + Baking longer time makes the crust hard Try the recipe and let me know the feedback in your comments.
